What is Caramel Coated Wellness?
Caramel Coated Wellness is a plant-based food blog dedicated to providing simple meals that minimize the use of animal products, oils, and processed foods.
The founder of Caramel Coated Wellness, Olivia, has been interested in diet and nutrition for years. She eventually decided to enroll in the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and discovered the health benefits of following a Whole Food Plant-Based Diet (WFPBD). As a result of her education, Olivia dedicated herself to creating delicious meals that promote this dietary lifestyle.
Who is Olivia?
Olivia is the recipe developer, tester, food photographer, and founder of Caramel Coated Wellness. Olivia spent a couple of years as an intelligence analyst in the heart of D.C. until she decided to follow her true passion—creating plant-based recipes to help combat diet-related illnesses afflicting the majority of people following the Standard American Diet. The Standard American Diet is high in meat, dairy, fat, sugar, and processed foods. It also includes low intake of fruit and vegetables.
Olivia has always loved food. It started when she was a child, watching her mother cook three meals a day for her family of six. When she received her graduate certificate in the Plant-Based Nutrition in the Fall of 2016, she decided to dedicate her energy to curating meals that can heal the human body from the inside-out.
She founded Caramel Coated Wellness in 2017 to share the ease and simplicity of preparing plant-based meals. Too many people live with the misconception that plant-based cooking is expensive, difficult, and generally unreachable. Caramel Coated Wellness seeks to show the average person that this way of eating is delicious, easy, and relatively inexpensive.
