- 3 Cups Sunflower Seeds
- Optional: 2 Tbsp. Ground Flaxseed
Preheat the oven to 350.
Spread the sunflower seeds in a thin layer on a small baking sheet. Bake the sunflower seeds for five minutes, until they have released their oils and smell fragrant.
Place the roasted sunflower seeds and the ground flaxseed in a food processor and puree until a peanut butter-like consistency has been achieved, consistently scraping down the sides. This may take about fifteen minutes.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
